Works given go-ahead at Two Donegal National Schools – McHugh
28th April 2017 - Joe McHugh
Funding for works at two Donegal national schools has been welcomed today by Donegal TD Joe McHugh.
SN na Carraige in Carrick has been given funding to carry out electrical works at the school. Funding is also being released to St Peter’s National School in Mountcharles to carry out external environmental improvements.
“I want to thank Education Minister Richard Bruton for releasing funding for two important works projects which will benefit staff and pupils in both schools,” said Minister McHugh.
“I know both schools have been awaiting an announcement from the Department and I am delighted this important work can now go ahead.”
No details are given of the amount of funding approved by the School Building Unit, as the publication of the amount of grant aid sanctioned could prejudice the tendering process for an individual project. The School Building Unit will issue detailed letters on the relevant projects directly to the school authorities and these letters will inform the school authorities of the amount of grant aid sanctioned by the Department.
