Two Educational Headquarters a Huge Boost for Naas

2nd October 2011 - Senator Anthony Lawlor

“The recent announcement to locate the VEC Headquarters in Naas indicated a recognition of the important administrative role which the town can provide. Similarly, it is important to note that the locating of the Irish Vocational Education Association (IVEA) Headquarters in Naas is a further economic boost to the town” announced Anthony Lawlor TD.

To promote the overall development of education and training, the IVEA Headquarters facilitates training courses and conferences. Since its establishment, the headquarters has seen the number of groups using this facility steadily increasing. In fact the headquarters has been used in recent weeks for a meeting of 30 EU Education Leaders debating educational policies. The provision of the IVEA for such meetings not only highlights Ireland as a location for other pan European meetings, but encourages trade and investment to the town of Naas. The positive knock-on effect of these training courses on accommodation, restaurants, bars, shops and leisure facilities in the area must be warmly welcomed.

“Naas is very much open for business which has been proven by the establishment of two important educational headquarters in the town. Both these facilities are of huge benefit to the economic future of the town and I will continue to encourage further investment of this type to the local area” concluded Anthony Lawlor TD.
