Statement regarding the readmission of Brian Walsh TD to the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party

Chairman of the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party, Charlie Flanagan TD, has this evening (Wednesday) confirmed that Brian Walsh TD has been readmitted to the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party.
Deputy Walsh requested readmission to the Parliamentary Party, after renewing his Fine Gael membership. His readmission was recommended by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD, to the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party meeting this evening, where it was unanimously agreed.
Speaking this evening, Deputy Flanagan said: ‘I am pleased to confirm that it has been unanimously agreed to readmit Brian Walsh to the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party’.
“Brian has consistently voted with the Government over the last 10 months, and he has been very active in recent weeks in his support of Fine Gael candidates running in the Local and Euro Elections in Galway.
“Brian re-joins the Party as we move towards the Local and European Elections with our focus on bringing about jobs, stability and growth.”
