Statement by Senator Joe O’Reilly on the death of Seymour Crawford
21st October 2018 - Senator Joe O'Reilly
Cavan Fine Gael Senator Joe O’Reilly has expressed his condolences following the death of former TD Seymour Crawford.
Senator O’Reilly said: “I am saddened to learn of the passing of former TD Seymour Crawford.
“An absolute gentleman, he devoted most of his life to public service.
“After long service with IFA, he served on Monaghan County Council and in Dáil Éireann. He brought real compassion and empathy to his dealings with people.
“He was gentlemanly in approach and always humble. He had an innate shrewdness which served him well in getting good outcomes for people and communities.
“At all times, Seymour was diligent, committed and honest in his work. My sympathy goes to his nephew and all the family circle.
“Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam dhílis.”
