Richmond welcomes Google to Sandyford
31st August 2017 - Neale Richmond, TD
Locally based Fine Gael Senator, Neale Richmond, has welcome the announcement that Google is set to expand its Irish operations further with a planned move to offices in the Sandyford Business District.
“This is yet another big positive story for Sandyford following a number of recent job announcements as well as the creation of the Sandyford Business Improvement District.
“It is super news to learn that Google will move into offices in Sandyford as part of the expansion of their Irish operations.
“Sandyford is a brilliant place to live, work and do business; I was fortunate to represent the area for seven years on Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and I know the dynamic environment that is being created locally.
“Located close to the city centre, the Sandyford Business District is served by the Luas, a range of bus services and is close to both the M50 and N11.
“An International School will open its doors in the area in September 2018, further increasing the prospects for Sandyford.
“Sandyford has 1,000 companies and a workforce of 25,000. In Sandyford, Google will be neighbours with other multi-national tech companies such as Microsoft, Vodafone, Salesforce and indigenous rising star Cubic Telecom.
“I am delighted to welcome Google to Sandyford and I am sure this announcement will be another in an ongoing series of good news stories for the Sandyford Business District.”
