Parliamentary Question addressed to the Minister for Education and Science
8th October 2013 - Olivia Mitchell TD
To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the position regarding the negotiations to conclude the acquisition of a site for the thousand pupil secondary school planned to serve the wider Stepaside/Leopardstown area, Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter?
Reply:
I wish to advise the Deputy that my Department has sought the assistance of, and is working closely with, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in relation
to identifying and acquiring a suitable site for a proposed post primary school in the Stepaside/Leopardstown area. Due to commercial sensitivities attaching
to site acquisitions generally, it is not possible to comment further on the matter at this time.
