Fine Gael TD for Dublin South Central, Catherine Byrne, has today (Friday) called for the urgent implementation of reforms set out for the National Drugs and Alcohol Strategy, following the publication of a report detailing rising cocaine use and cannabis cultivation in Ireland.

Fine Gael Clare Senator, Martin Conway, has welcomed the announcement that Flybe is to operate a year-round return service between Shannon Airport and Glasgow. The three time weekly service, beginning in May, is expected to bring over 10,000 additional passengers through Shannon this year.

Fine Gael Cork North Central Deputy, Dara Murphy, has welcomed the official opening of the Urgent Care Centre on the St Mary's site in Gurranabraher today (Friday) by the Minister for Health, Dr. James Reilly TD. Fine Gael TD for Dublin Fingal, Alan Farrell, has today (Thursday) highlighted the hypocrisy of Fianna Fáil's criticism of the Government's management of Garda resources and stated that under Fianna Fáil's 'National Recovery Plan' we would have less Gardaí and a smaller Garda budget.
