In Donegal, 7,837 farmers have received Basic Farm Payments so far in 2015, making up 95.17% of payments. In 2016, €1.2 billion in direct funding will be made available from the EU to fund the Basic Payment Scheme nationally.

Fine Gael Waterford Minister Paudie Coffey has welcomed news from his colleague Minister Kathleen Lynch that she has allocated €372,000 for the Holy Ghost supported care home in Waterford City and €185,000 for St Cathage’s Care Home in Lismore, Co Waterford.
