Appointments to the Board of the Charities Regulatory Authority
The Minister for Justice & Equality, Mr Alan Shatter TD, today announced that he is seeking expressions of interest from suitably-qualified persons for membership of the Board of the Charities Regulatory Authority.

Statement by Minister Alan Shatter TD on Mount Carmel Hospital liquidation application
“I am saddened to learn of the liquidation application that came before the courts today in respect of Mount Carmel Hospital. The hospital has provided caring medical and maternity services for many decades with a compassionate and dedicated staff of both doctors and nurses. I believe it has, over the decades, provided a valued service from which patients who not only live locally, but also from across the country, have benefitted.
