To ask the Minister for Finance in view of the €2 billion collected for the State from private pension savings of a relatively small number of persons, if he will reverse the decision to extend the levy into 2015 in view of the huge impact it is having on the retirement income of older contributors; and if he will make a statement on the matter?

eircom must step up to the mark on broadband for Meath- Doherty

Fine Gael Meath East TD, Regina Doherty has today (Tuesday) said that eircom must step up to the mark and provide a real broadband service for County Meath. Deputy Doherty was speaking after talking to the McBride family whose petrol station and shop in Slane has been experiencing severe broadband problems since June.

Neville welcomes 35 new jobs for Newcastle West

Still no sign of Sinn Féin’s pre-budget submission

Fine Gael TD for Limerick, Patrick O’Donovan, has today (Tuesday) called on Sinn Féin to explain the delay in publishing their pre-budget submission. The party was due to make public its pre-budget submission today but postponed it at short notice without explanation.
