Fine Gael TD and Chairperson of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health and Children, Jerry Buttimer, has called on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland to put a stay on the increase in the Annual Retention Fee.

“The Justice Minister has confirmed that the provision of a new Garda Station in Bailieborough has been identified as a priority for 2015,” according to Minister Heather Humphreys and Deputy Joe O’Reilly.

Brian Hayes MEP for Dublin today welcomed new EU measures which mean that as of January 1st Irish consumers buying goods and services from an online vendor in Europe will pay VAT at Irish rates.

The scheme generated 175 jobs, and a total of €15 million was invested in 540 projects across the country.
