Incendiary and reckless language from Sinn Féin TDs about taking out the Justice Minister in the aftermath of the deplorable violence in Dublin is extremely damaging and unhelpful, a Fine Gael Minister has said.

The political opportunism at play from Sinn Féin in the aftermath of Thursday’s violence serves no purpose other than to distract from the focus of ensuring the safety of our citizens, according to a Fine Gael Senator.

Yesterday our country experienced two terrible attacks – the first an attack on innocent children, the second an attack on our society and the rule of law.  Each attack brought shame to our society, disgrace to those involved, and incredible pain to all those caught up in the violence.

Dublin Fingal East TD and Fine Gael Dáil Spokesperson on Justice, Alan Farrell TD, has said that body cam legislation will boost Garda safety and ensure we can pursue wrongdoers; ahead of Wednesday’s (29th Nov) vote on Government legislation.

The annual flu vaccination programme should be extended to allow free vaccinations for childcare professionals, a Fine Gael Senator has said. 

Fine Gael Senator John McGahon has demanded that products made by Bacardi, Mondelez, and Pepsi are immediately removed from sale on the Leinster House campus. All three companies have been officially placed on the ‘International Sponsors of War’ list by the Ukrainian government for contributing to Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine.

A decision by Revenue which sees practice doctors treated as individuals rather than as part of a partnership and sees them disadvantaged will now be reversed, according to Fine Gael TD Colm Burke.
