Coghlan condemns shooting of Heather the hen harrier

Fine Gael Kerry Senator and Seanad Chief Whip, Paul Coghlan, has expressed concern in relation to the shooting down of a young female hen harrier in Co. Kerry. Senator Coghlan was speaking about the matter on the Order of Business in the Seanad today (Tuesday).

Minister Donohoe announces €294 million for regional and local roads

Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Paschal Donohoe TD, today (Tuesday) announced details of the €294 million investment programme for 2015 for regional and local roads, saying the package will allow approximately 2,000 kms of regional and local road to be maintained and strengthened this year.

Over €9 million allocated for Waterford’s Roads in 2015 – Coffey

Fine Gael Waterford Minister Paudie Coffey has said that he has received confirmation from the Minister for Transport Paschal Donohoe TD that he has allocated over €9 million worth of funding for 2015. Minister Coffey said that this money will be used by Waterford City and County Council to upkeep and maintain our road network over the coming 12 months.
