Support available for new local business women – Corcoran Kennedy
Fine Gael TD for Laois/Offaly, Marcella Corcoran Kennedy, has encouraged local women in Laois, Offaly and North Tipperary who have recently started their own business, to apply to ACORNS (Accelerating the Creation of Rural Nascent Start-ups), a fully funded programme to support female entrepreneurs living in rural Ireland.

Excise Duty increase is not “the old reliable” – Noone
Fine Gael Senator, Catherine Noone, has today backed research undertaken by Alcohol Action Ireland which highlights that, despite what alcohol companies try to spin, beer is in fact not a budget “old reliable” when it comes to increasing excise – with only three increases between 1990 and 2015, and one decrease.
