To ask the Minister for Finance in view of the €2 billion collected for the State from private pension savings of a relatively small number of persons, if he will reverse the decision to extend the levy into 2015 in view of the huge impact it is having on the retirement income of older contributors; and if he will make a statement on the matter?

eircom must step up to the mark on broadband for Meath- Doherty

Fine Gael Meath East TD, Regina Doherty has today (Tuesday) said that eircom must step up to the mark and provide a real broadband service for County Meath. Deputy Doherty was speaking after talking to the McBride family whose petrol station and shop in Slane has been experiencing severe broadband problems since June.

Neville welcomes 35 new jobs for Newcastle West

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD is visiting Cork today (Monday) for the announcement of 100 IT jobs as SolarWinds expands its European operations in the city. Speaking in advance of the announcement, Deirdre Clune praised the Cork company and its achievements to date.
