Fine Gael TD for Dublin Fingal, Alan Farrell, has welcomed the announcement by the Government of a comprehensive plan to tackle mortgage arrears.

To ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if he will provide an update in the status of the investment programme application submitted by Fingal County Council in August 2011 regarding the Malahide waste water management.

Fine Gael TD for Dublin North, Alan Farrell, has today (Wednesday) highlighted the blatantly populist stance being taken by Micheál Martin and Fianna Fáil in relation to the property tax. Despite having signed up to the introduction of the property tax with the Troika, Fianna Fail is now opposing the tax.

To ask the Minister for Finance if the date on which the property tax for 2014 becomes payable is January 2014; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

€1.5 billion on 275 school projects nationally, creating 18,000 jobs

Speaking following the first auction of ten year government bonds this morning (Wednesday) since Ireland entered the Troika programme in 2010, Fine Gael Dublin Central Deputy, Paschal Donohoe, said the level of interest shown in the auction indicates the positive light in which Ireland is viewed internationally and is further proof that the Government’s plan to turn our economy around is working.

To ask the Minister for Finance if refunds will be paid to homeowners where it comes to light that an overpayment of property tax was paid in any year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

To ask the Minister for Finance if he will ensure the Irish bank Resolution Corporation liquidator meets with staff to discuss their issues as repeated cancellations of such meetings is causing real concern; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
