Catherine Callaghan
Catherine Callaghan is a farmer and business owner who also works as a Special Needs Assistant.
A former member of the Defence Forces, Catherine served overseas during her time in the army, gaining valuable experience of Ireland’s peace-keeping operations.
She now works as a Special Needs Assistant.
Her experience as a full-time carer for her late parents has led to Catherine prioritising eldercare. She will work to advocate for their needs and those of their families.
A mother to three teenagers, Catherine also volunteers in her GAA club as a camogie coach, passing on skills for life to stay fit both mentally and physically, as well as social skills.
Having served for her country, Catherine now wishes to serve the people of Carlow-Kilkenny and to deliver for working families, farmers and business owners.
