Parliamentary Question addressed to the Minister for Justice

To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality in view of concerns surrounding the recent discovery of a body in the Dublin mountains, if he will reassure the public that in missing persons cases where the person concerned has suffered from depression or mental illness, that no less rigour or resources are devoted to the search by the Gardaí and that this would include checks of on-line and phone activity; and if he will make a statement on the matter?

9,000 children in Waterford to benefit from free GP care – Coffey

Fine Gael TD for Waterford, Paudie Coffey, has welcomed the introduction in Budget 2014 of free GP care for all children in the State aged five years and under. Deputy Coffey said this measure will have an enormous impact on health services, will help all families with young children to deal with the cost of child rearing and will bring us one step closer to the Government’s stated aim of free GP care for all.

Doherty welcomes creation of 100 new jobs at Alltech in Dunboyne

Fine Gael Meath East TD, Regina Doherty, has today (Friday) welcomed the announcement that 100 new jobs are being created at Alltech’s European Headquarters in Dunboyne. Alltech develops and manufactures natural feed supplements for the agricultural sector.
