Cllr. Linda Nelson Murray
Linda Nelson Murray is from Navan, County Meath and is married to Finbarr Murray. They have two children.
With a degree in business, Linda has worked in marketing and later running an activity centre with her husband. She has consistently been a campaigner for insurance reform seeing the difficulties businesses had in obtaining fair insurance and continues to advocate for all today.
Over 4 years ago Linda started working in politics, with Deputy Damien English, getting a full understanding of how to get local and national issues done.
In June, Linda was elected to Meath County Council winning a second seat for Fine Gael, something the party hadn’t achieved in Navan for 25 years. Linda thoroughly enjoys being a Councillor and is committed to making our everyday lives better.
If elected, she will continue her work advocating for improvements to rural infrastructure, ensuring the commuter belt towns are afforded a top class and efficient bus service and ensuring the rail line is delivered.
Retaining the many great services at Navan Hospital, helping small businesses with the challenges of increased cost of doing business, and continuing advocating for insurance reform for businesses, community groups and charities are all key priorities for Linda.
She will also continue her work on making education more inclusive for all and campaigning for more resources for schools across the constituency.
