Action Plan Will Help Teachers, Pupils and Parents in Dublin Fingal Tackle Scourge of Bullying

Fine Gael TD for Dublin Fingal, Alan Farrell TD, has today said that the Government's new Action Plan on Bullying will help to tackle the scourge of bullying in schools across Dublin Fingal. Five hundred thousand euro has been ring-fenced to support the implementation of the plan this year, which will include a campaign on cyber bullying and the development of national anti-bullying procedures for all schools.

Doherty welcomes moves to introduce tagging for sex offenders

Fine Gael Meath East TD, Regina Doherty, has today (Friday) welcomed the fact that the Government is advancing plans to introduce electronic tagging for sex offenders. Deputy Doherty said that the news would come as particular relief to residents in Ratoath, who were concerned in recent years at the prospect of a serious sex offender moving into their village.

New Garda Station to be delivered for people of Blarney, Rathduff and Grenagh – Murphy

At a public meeting in Rathduff last night (Thursday), Fine Gael Cork North Central Deputy, Dara Murphy, confirmed that a Letter of Intent will be signed next week for construction of a new Garda station in Blarney to serve the people of Blarney, Rathduff and Grenagh. Deputy Murphy established the fact having spoken to the Minister of State at the Office of Public Works, Brian Hayes TD. Construction for the new station is expected to commence in March this year.
