Galway Greenway a great boost for Connemara tourism

Fine Gael TD for Galway West, Sean Kyne, has welcomed the announcement of €403,000 in funding for the first phase of the Galway Greenway. The funding is part of a €1.4 million investment in key tourism sites along the Wild Atlantic Way announced today (Thursday) by Minister for State at the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, Michael Ring TD. Ten million euro in total is being invested in the Wild Atlantic Way, which stretches from the Inishowen Peninsula in Donegal through Galway, to Kinsale in Co. Cork

Goodbye roaming charges! – Noone

Fine Gael Seanad spokesperson on European Affairs, Senator Catherine Noone, has today (Thursday) welcomed a European Parliament vote to eliminate roaming charges in the EU.

Minister Shatter receives the report of the Inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the taking into care of the children of two Roma families – Garda Síochána Act 2005 (section 42) (Special Inquiries Relating to Garda Síochána) Order 2013 –

The Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence, Alan Shatter TD, today received a report from Ombudsman for Children, Ms Emily Logan on her inquiry into the circumstances surrounding two children from two different Roma families being taken temporarily into care in October 2013. The Minister will now read and consider the contents of the Report.
