Cannon says Brexit agreement will be welcomed by Irish in the UK

Minister for the Diaspora and International Development, Ciaran Cannon, has welcomed the guarantee that there will be no hard border between Northern Ireland and the Republic and said it will be especially welcomed by Irish people across the UK.

Brophy calls for top tax rate on ‘heated cigarettes’

Fine Gael TD for Dublin South-West, Colm Brophy, has recommended that heated cigarette products are taxed at the same rate as regular cigarettes - the highest rate for tobacco products - when they are introduced to Ireland.

Over 1,000 extra SNAs in 2018 – Minister Bruton

The Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton TD, today announced that 130 additional SNAs are being made available for allocation to schools over the remainder of the school year (January – June 2018) as part of an overall increase of 1,000 SNAs in 2018.
