Hayes supports country of origin labelling of processed foods

Fine Gael Dublin MEP, Brian Hayes this week voted in the European Parliament in favour of introducing country of origin labelling for meat in processed foods.The European Commission should now bring forward legislation making it mandatory for processed foods to state the origin of its meat.

National discussion on child care needed – Neville

“Participation in high-quality childhood care and education results in better outcomes for children. Ensuring access for the maximum number of families to this care is essential and this is a discussion that we need to have at a national level”, commented Dan Neville, Fine Gael Party Chairperson and TD for Limerick while speaking in Dáil Éireann.

Neville welcomes €38 million investment by Shannon Foynes Port Company

“An investment of €38 million by the Shannon Foynes Port Company (SFPC), Ireland’s largest bulk port company was announced today (Monday) by the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Paschal Donohoe TD. This injection of funding will see a major increase in SFPC trade over the coming years”, says Dan Neville, Fine Gael Party Chairperson and TD for Limerick.
