Sligo mammography procurement meeting underway – McLoughlin

Burke welcomes reforms to fine payment system

Fine Gael Senator for Cork North Central, Colm Burke, has today (Monday) welcomed the commencement of the Fines (Payment & Recovery) Act 2014. The introduction of this legislation means that the non- payment of fines will no longer result in prison sentences except as a last resort, instead the fine can be deducted from a person’s earnings by way of instalments.

Strong tourism focus in Mid East Action Plan will help create 25,000 jobs – Doherty

Fine Gael TD for Meath East, Regina Doherty has said that she is confident that the Mid East Action Plan for Jobs, launched today (Monday) by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton, will build on Meath’s strengths and successfully help create 25,000 new jobs in the region. Deputy Doherty particularly welcomed the focus on tourism in the plan.
