Alternatives to Slane bypass must be explored before resubmitting application – Doherty
Fine Gael Meath East TD, Regina Doherty, has today (Monday) said that alternatives to the Slane bypass must be fully explored before an application is resubmitted to An Bord Pleanála. Deputy Doherty added that a rushed re-submission would be risky and counterproductive, and it would be much wiser to exhaust other options first.
Buttimer welcomes €23 million investment in Pfizer Ringaskiddy plant
Fine Gael Cork South Central TD, Jerry Buttimer, has today (Thursday) welcomed the announcement that Pfizer is investing €23 million in its facility at Ringaskiddy in Co. Cork. The investment will be focussed on developing specialist new capabilities to manufacture some of Pfizer’s newest medicines in cancer and other future pipeline medicines.
Conway welcomes €40 million research investment in University of Limerick

Red C report shows encouraging trend on credit demand for SMEs
Businesses who are being refused credit should appeal to the Credit Review Office Welcoming the Red C report on the demand for credit by SMEs, Fine Gael Cork North West Deputy, Áine Collins, said that while the demand for credit is still soft at 40%, it is heartening that 76% of applications are now being approved by the banks. Deputy Collins has encouraged SMEs who have been refused loans by their banks to appeal the decision to the Credit Review Office, which is now overturning 55% of decisions.

First of all, it sets out to achieve transparency of family law practices by abolishing the 'in camera' rule, and secondly, to achieve efficiency and affordability within our courts service.
North County set to receive further ‘Next Generation’ investment by 2015
