Universal Social Charge is Unfair; Fine Gael will Abolish it – Minister Coffey
Fine Gael Waterford Minister Paudie Coffey has stated that the USC is an unfair tax that was introduced by Fianna Fail in 2010 as the economy collapsed around them. The USC was an emergency tax that was only intended for the short term. Minister Coffey re-affirmed his commitment that if Fine Gael are re-elected to government in a few weeks’ time they will abolish the tax by 2020.
Investment of Over €15 Million for Six Nursing Homes In Mayo
€40 million for replacement Residential Care Homes in Waterford – Minister Coffey
Fine Gael Waterford Minister Paudie Coffey has welcomed €40 million worth of funding for Residential Care Homes in Waterford. Minister Coffey said the two projects that will benefit are St Patrick’s Hostpital and St Joseph’s Hospital in Dungarvan and he has commended the work of both communities in delivering these projects for Waterford City and County.
Minister Coffey announces €7.3 million of Social Housing Projects for Waterford
Fine Gael Waterford Minister Paudie Coffey, who has responsibility for Housing, has announced a further €7.3 million worth of Social Housing projects for Waterford City and County. Minister Coffey said that was a further investment in Social Housing in Waterford will deliver an additional 46 housing units for people on the Social Housing waiting list in Waterford and is part of the €35 million worth of funding he has secured from his Department’s budget for Social Housing in Waterford from 2015- 2017.
Economic recovery allows for €9.2 million investment in Waterford roads – Minister Coffey
Fine Gael Waterford Minister Paudie Coffey has today (Tuesday) welcomed the news that €9.2 million has been allocated to Waterford for road improvement and maintenance works. The funding is part of a €298 million national investment programme for 2016 for regional and local roads.
