Cllr. Maeve O'Connell
Maeve O’Connell has lived in Stillorgan for over 25 years.
She is a lecturer in Law and Governance in Technological University Dublin and has trained as a barrister, having been called to the bar in 1998.
Maeve was first elected to Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council in 2019, and was re-elected in 2024.
She has extensive private industry experience in sales and strategy for major multi-national employers in Ireland.
A former President of the MBA Association Ireland, Maeve is a regular Park Runner and volunteer.
If elected, Maeve will work to deliver sustainable development in Dublin Rathdown. Her corporate background gives her a unique perspective on understanding the SME sector and she will work to develop business friendly policies that will enable the sector to grow. As an active runner, she also wants to encourage a more active lifestyle among younger people.
