In advance of the EU – US Meeting taking place in Dublin tomorrow, Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence, Alan Shatter T.D, held important discussions with US Attorney General, Eric Holder.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton is encouraging his fellow EU Trade Ministers to seize the opportunity to boost EU jobs and growth by agreeing at tomorrow’s (Friday 14th June) EU Trade Council to allow the start of EU-US trade talks.

An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD, this morning (Thursday) named Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD as Director of the Fine Gael campaign for a Yes vote in the Referendum on the Abolition of the Seanad.

This morning is another fantastic day for Cork and the whole South West region with this announcement of 200 new jobs as a result of a €100 million investment by EMC.

Fine Gael Waterford Deputy, Paudie Coffey, has welcomed news that a number of consultant posts are currently being filled, with additional posts to be filled over the coming period at Waterford Regional Hospital (WRH). Deputy Coffey was informed of this by the Minister for Health, Dr. James Reilly TD, and has said that these posts will help to reduce outpatient waiting lists at WRH in the short, medium and long term.

Fine Gael Waterford Deputy Paudie Coffey has welcomed news from the Minister of State at the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government Jan O Sullivan TD that where remediation works need to be carried out on Septic Tanks no planning permission will be necessary. Deputy Coffey has said this is a sensible move that will allay the fears of many people around the country and will put to bed the scaremongering that has gone on in recent months by opportunistic opposition politicians.

Fine Gael TD, Alan Farrell has called on Fingal students who will be attending college from September this year to apply early for their college grants through Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI).

"Balbriggan Train Station will receive a €225,000 upgrade", according to Alan Farrell, Fine Gael TD for Dublin Fingal.
