She grew up in Rathmines in the heart of the constituency. She is also editor of The Church of Ireland Gazette
Childcare
As a mother of two young children, Emma knows that access to early childhood education and quality childcare is fundamental in ensuring every child has the best start in life.
We need to build on the significant State investment in the sector and move to a more affordable, high quality, public early years education and childcare model.
Positive Ageing
Life after retirement can be just as active, connected, respected, secure, and independent as before. To achieve this, we need assistance for independent living, support for families caring for elderly relatives, stronger and safer communities, and better preparation for retirement to keep people connected.
Cost of Living
Although our economy is almost at full employment, the cost of living is still a challenge for many people. Household running costs, education costs, transportation costs and healthcare costs still remain high. Emma is committed to ensuring that Government policies work to reduce these costs and that we support those in need.
