Cllr Pat Mahon

Cllr Pat Mahon

Pat was co-opted as a Councillor in December, 2024, replacing Edward Timmins, following his election to Dáil Éireann.

From the Parish of Valleymount, where he grew up and still calls home, Pat is married to Marie, and they have two kids, Patrick and Aisling. Between working in Construction & Property maintenance, and running a small sheep farm, Pat has always kept close ties to the local community.

Football and Hurling have always been a big part of his life. He’s played and coached with his local club Valleymount and was proud to represent the county right up to senior level. Golf now also plays a key part in his local sporting traditions and he enjoys playing golf at the local Tulfarris Golf Club.

Pat is passionate about West Wicklow. It’s a place of incredible beauty and history, but it needs proper support for the people who live here. His focus is on fighting for that investment and giving West Wicklow the strong voice it deserves at Wicklow County Council.

For over 70 years, the Timmins family has represented the people of West Wicklow, and Pat is proud to continue that legacy. He is committed to doing right by the community, and working hard to make life better for everyone in this part of the county.
