Robbie Staples is a newly elected Fine Gael Councillor in the Wexford Borough District. Married to Teresa, he lives in Curracloe where he grew up.

Currently, Robbie work as a Senior Product Manager at an International Financial company based in Wexford.

His roots run deep in the local community and sports. As a proud member of Curracloe United and Shelmalier GAA club, he has a passion for sport where the thrill of competition is met with a strong sense of community spirit. Robbie played a pivotal role in setting up the Football for All (FFA) programme in Curracloe United, which assists and develops football opportunities for players with a disability in their local community.

His commitment extends extends beyond sports; he has  volunteered with Wexford Marine Watch and fundraised for the WSPA through Santa Paws.

With your support, Robbie will champion supporting our vibrant local and rural communities. Focus on improving Wexford’s Main Street and work to improve essential services and create opportunities by making the Wexford Borough District an attractive place to live, work and do business. Robbie hopes with your support, to bring a new innovative way of thinking, fresh ideas, and energy to local politics in Wexford, building on our inclusive communities, to improve the quality and sustainability of services for all.
