Cllr Darragh McDonald

“I ’ve been privileged to have grown up in Gorey, attending both Gorey Central and Gorey Community School. Being heavily involved in sport, specifically swimming, one of the greatest honours of my life was the reception Gorey town gave me when I returned from the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

“After a period studying and working in Dublin, together with my wife Clara, I have moved back to Gorey and want to do my part to help support the area. A qualified accountant with a background in financial services and aviation, I commute to work in Dublin several times a week. I have also had the pleasure of serving as a voluntary Director on the Asthma Society of Ireland, the ISPCA, the Disability Federation of Ireland and locally on the Gorey Community Development Group.

“Using my background and experience, I will work tirelessly to ensure the needs of residents of North Wexford are met
