Cllr Jim D’Arcy

Jim D’Arcy has lived in Waterford for all his adult life.  He has been Co-ordinator of Waterford Youthreach for the past 30 years, where he has helped many young people to have a second chance at education.

Jim is a long-time member of Fine Gael and was a city councillor from 2004 to 2014.  He served a very successful term as City Mayor from 2012 to 2013.  Following a break from active politics to concentrate on his young family, Jim returned to face the electorate in 2024 and was honoured to be re-elected in Waterford City East.  This was a gain of a seat for Fine Gael in Waterford.
