Cllr Brendan Wyse
Brendan is a Fine Gael Councillor for the Clane electoral area, which includes Allenwood, Ballyteague, Balyna, Carbury, Coill Dubh, Killina, Kilmeague, Lullymore and Robertstown.
Living in Allenwood with his wife and three children, he is involved in many aspects of community work for his local rural area. Some of his current projects include:
- Leading the Allenwood community playground project for Allenwood Tidy Towns
- Advocating for the Grand Canal Greenway and proper links to it from West Kildare communities
- Identifying potential sites for a playground in Derrinturn
He has a keen interest in sports and works in his local sports clubs to help out with development projects and the day-to-day running. Brendan’s children are all involved in GAA and soccer with Allenwood GAA, Allenwood Celtic AFC and Coill Dubh Camogie Club.

- Building amenities in rural villages for families like playgrounds, parks and walkways
- Delivering adequate infrastructure, such as schools, waste- water systems, pathways, commercial premises and roads in fast growing villages
- Developing sports club facilities in rural areas at the same pace as those in towns
- Protecting our countryside and its fauna and flora
