Cllr Lumi Panaite Fahey
Lumi Panaite Fahey contested the elections in Celbridge LEA as a first-time candidate with a very short campaign and is humble and grateful to be elected as a Councillor.
Lumi is a qualified Solicitor, graduated LLB Law Honours and LLM Masters in Commercial Law, Mediator and a Mentor in various third level institutions. She is a single Mom of two, with one special needs child.
Lumi is highly involved in charity work, law programs in schools, prisons and deprived areas, and is often seen representing clients in litigation matters, assessment of needs issues, family law cases and criminal law courts. Lumi is a member of the Family Carers Ireland and Special Needs Children Forums. Member of the Irish Women Lawyers Association; Women in Leadership, Dublin Solicitors Bar Association; Member of the Romanian Community of Ireland and Romanian Females Community in Ireland in which she is actively involved; Member of the External Board Committee of the Dublin Technological University and a Mentor to Griffith College students.
Lumi got involved in politics as her home has been Ireland for 28 years and she wanted to give back to the community and to all that helped her along the way. She is a strong advocate for rights, passionate about her work and aims to be a strong voice, known as someone who gets things done.
Lumi is a member of: Local Community and Cultural SPC, Protocol and Procedures Committee, County Kildare Twinning Committee, Twinning Liaison Committee, South Western Regional Drugs and Alcohol Task Force, Regional Health Forum Dublin – Mid Leinster
Lumi is a strong representative for Celbridge, takes responsibility seriously, is very committed to representing and resolving issues in her home town Celbridge.
