Vicki was elected to South Dublin County Council (SDCC) as a Fine Gael Councillor in May 2014, and again in 2019 – where she continues to represent the voice of people with disabilities, young people and families for Lucan and surrounding areas.

She was elected as Mayor of SDCC in June 2019, for the 2019-20 year – the only female Mayor in Dublin at the time, and one of only three nationally that year.

As a mother of two children, Vicki is an active advocate for people with disabilities and also fundraises for Barretstown under Team James, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Enable Ireland and Our Lady’s Hospice Harold’s Cross.  Vicki represents communities in Lucan and her electoral previously included Palmerstown.

Your local Councillor, representing you & the wider Lucan community on South Dublin County Council, Vicki is also an active participant on the following committees:

  • Social and Community Strategic Policy Committee
  • Disability Consultative Panel
  • Barretstown Ambassador

Vicky previously served on the Sports Partnership Committee, and as Chairperson of the Dublin Mid Leinster HSE Regional Health Forum – and she also serves the needs of the people of Lucan in her capacity as a Peace Commissioner.
