Cllr Eoin O’Driscoll
Eoin O’Driscoll is a Fine Gael Councillor representing Stillorgan on Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. He has served on the Council since December 2024 when he was co-opted to replace Maeve O’Connell, following her election to Dáil Éireann.
Eoin ran as a candidate in the local elections in June 2024. Passionate about local politics, Eoin is dedicated to ensuring our community remains an exceptional place to live, work, and grow.
Eoin had strong roots in the community, having attended school locally at Árd Tona, Churchtown, and St. Michael’s College, and playing football with Dundrum AFC and hurling with Kilmacud Crokes. He pursued higher education at Trinity College Dublin and King’s College London.
Professionally, Eoin works as a strategic communications consultant in the private sector and previously worked for Minister Josepha Madigan. He also served as a Political Adviser to the Irish Mission to the United Nations, focusing on the Middle East Peace Process, and as a human rights monitor in Palestine and Israel. Actively engaged with EU-level politics and civil society for over a decade, Eoin consistently championed Ireland’s role at the heart of Europe.
During his campaign, Eoin focused on priorities such as:
- Enhancing public transport and active travel infrastructure
- Positioning the council as a national leader in sustainability
- Supporting the development of new housing
- Promoting local business and enterprise
- Strengthening community safety and resilience
Eoin is driven by his professional experience, local knowledge, and deep commitment to the development and well-being of the community.
