Cllr Clodagh Ní Mhuirí
Clodagh was co-opted as a Councillor for the Clontarf Local Electoral Area in December, 2024, replacing Naoise Ó Muirí, following his election to Dáil Éireann.
Clodagh is a Peace Commissioner for Dublin, and works in the education sector in Marino, supporting and advocating for Irish-medium education. Clodagh is a fluent Gaeilgeoir and outside of work, has volunteered with a number of different organisations, including Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, and JCI (Junior Chamber International).
Clodagh’s priorities include:
- Promoting a diverse range of housing options, including social, affordable, cost-rental, and senior housing
- Ensuring the City Council’s plans for public spaces, facilities, and new projects prioritise accessibility
- More social, cultural, and sports facilities, particularly for teenagers and young people
- Sustainable, long-term planning to meet the future needs of residents of all ages, ensuring the delivery of infrastructure and services across the Clontarf LEA
- Supporting local community and voluntary groups, and increasing awareness of the supports and grants available to them
- Continued investment in St Anne’s Park and other green spaces on the Northside, while advocating for the conservation of important Dublin Bay habitats like North Bull Island
