Cllr Paul Doogue
Paul is married to Elaine, and they have four children – Sarah, Lorraine, James and Rachel. He worked in the sugar factory until its closure and is currently working at Graiguecullen swimming pool.
- Chairman of County Carlow community games for 8 years, and had a major role in getting the National community games to Carlow for a 3 year term.
- Now holds the position of Deputy President on the National Community Games board.
- Chairman of County Carlow Hospice, working closely with the staff of the hospice, in making sure they have everything they need. Fundraising is also ongoing.
- Previously chairman of St. Fiacc’s swimming club Carlow for 10 years. Held the position Leinster chairman for four years and sat on National Swim Ireland Board for two years.
- Held the position of Chairman of the BOM for Graiguecullen National School for over five years, along with being on the parish Finance Committee for four years.
- Previously chairman of residents’ group, where I managed to get street lights and a footpath.
