3rd September 2018 - Jerry Buttimer TD
The announcement this morning that BioMarin International Ltd. is investing in a new Drug Product Filling Project at its Shanbally facility is good news for Cork, a Fine Gael Senator has said.
Cork Senator and Leader of Seanad Éireann Jerry Buttimer said: “The news today that BioMarin are expanding their plant at Shanbally is great news for the locality.
“Over 350 people are now working at the plant in Cork and today’s announcement is a huge vote of confidence in their hard work and professional skills.
“BioMarin has been operating in Cork for the past 7 years and has become a key employer in the area.
“I want to thank everyone involved in making this expansion a reality. The IDA in particular has been instrumental in bringing investment to the area and they are to be commended,” the Cork Senator said.
