Mitchell welcomes Dell Bank to Cheerywood
26th September 2013 - Olivia Mitchell TD
Fine Gael TD for Dublin South, Olivia Mitchell, has today ( 26/09/2013) said that she is delighted that Dell is establishing a commercial bank in Cherrywood, South Dublin, with the creation of 200 jobs.
“It is fantastic that Dell has selected Ireland and Cherrywood to base their European, Middle East and Asian HQ for Dell Financial Services. 200 employees will be based in the business park and this number is expected to grow to 300 within the next three years as the business grow and expands.
“Dell Financial Services provides credit for small, medium and large companies to purchase a wide range of IT equipment, and operates a leasing and equipment rotation program allowing businesses to keep their equipment up to date at a low cost. This is the first banking licence issued by the Central Bank in the last 4 years and is expected to provide a model for the future of financing small businesses.
“This is particularly good for SMEs, which employ half of all those working in Ireland, but it is also good news for those who are unemployed and formally worked in the financial services sector, many of whom live in this constituency.”
