Minister McHugh welcomes School Building Projects 2016 – 2021

5th November 2015 - Joe McHugh

12 schools in Donegal to benefit from programme

Minister of State Joe McHugh TD, “I am pleased to confirm that the Minister for Education and Skills, Jan O’Sullivan TD, has announced the list of schools who are to be included in the School Building Projects 2016 – 2021, in order to continue to meet the accommodation requirements of our growing school going population.

“There are twelve schools in Donegal who are to be included in this six year capital project and I am delighted to see that so many have been successful in their applications. A number of schools will begin work as soon as next year, with all schools being rolled out before the end of 2021.

“I am very pleased to see that so many schools across Donegal will benefit from this capital plan, I have visited most of these schools on a number of occasions and have witnessed first-hand just how much this funding is needed.”

In total, 310 individual major school building projects will proceed to construction between 2016 and 2021 across Ireland.
