Martin refuses to rule out Vote-Gate TDs from cabinet – Rock
19th January 2020 -
Fianna Fáil Leader Micheal Martin on RTÉ today failed to rule out appointing Timmy Dooley, Niall Collins and Lisa Chambers to cabinet, according to Fine Gael’s Noel Rock. Being appointed to Cabinet is a huge responsibility and one that should only be left to competent, capable and honest politicians.
“Last year I lodged an official complaint with the Standards in Public Office Commission that launched a formal investigation into a series of occasions where Fianna Fáil TDs voted for their colleagues who couldn’t be bothered to turn up to the Dáil Chamber.
“It is simply incredible that the Fianna Fáil Leader would consider appointing the TDs caught-up in the vote-gate scandal to cabinet. This is just the same old Fianna Fáil.
“The public has a right to know what Fianna Fáil’s alternative team is.”
