Local entrepreneurs amongst the best in the country
1st March 2012 - Peter Mathews
Five companies based in Stillorgan, Dundrum, Sandyford and UCD are among the 92 new start-up companies supported by Enterprise Ireland in 2011. They took part in Enterprise Ireland’s annual showcase of high potential start-up businesses in the Mansion House this week.
Speaking at the event, the local TD Peter Mathews said “It is a credit to local entrepreneurs that, within the last year, these five companies have been established, hired staff and begun to export their goods and services. The success of these companies is highly encouraging. It is very reassuring to see Enterprise Ireland support these entrepreneurs to set up their companies and create jobs.
“If we are to rebuild our economy and get back to full employment, we must ensure that small businesses can easily be established, expanded and turned into the large employers of the future. The Government, through Enterprise Ireland, is there to support this every step of the way.
