Let’s drive to promote mental health awareness – Neville
26th September 2018 - Tom Neville TD
Ahead of the Drive Against Suicide taking place in Limerick this Sunday (30th of September), Fine Gael TD Tom Neville said we need to do much more to promote awareness of positive mental health practices.
Limerick TD, Tom Neville said: “Irish society needs to focus on creating awareness of good mental health practices in our communities.
“We need to start promoting awareness of positive mental health practices among our families, friends and work colleagues. It can be supported through community initiatives focusing on sports or through the arts.
“The Drive Against Suicide is a great annual event that takes place this year on Sunday, starting at the Woodlands House Hotel in Adare, Co Limerick.
“Its purpose is to connect with people who enjoy motoring, rural people whose pride and joy is their car.
“Last year’s turnout was phenomenal and I’m hoping this year’s turn out will be even better.
“We can do small things and make subtle changes which will have a huge, lasting effect for people,” the Fine Gael TD said.
