Targeting of adolescent girls online highlights importance of grooming legislation – Corcoran Kennedy

Fine Gael TD for Laois/Offaly and Member of the Oireachtas Justice Committee, Marcella Corcoran Kennedy, has said that an RTÉ programme, due to be aired tonight, which will show that young girls’ photographs are being used on pornography sites and that adolescents are being groomed online, highlights the importance of introducing grooming legislation.

€60m allocated for minor works schemes to enhance capacity and safety on our roads - Donohoe

Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Paschal Donohoe TD, has today (Wednesday) said the provision of €60 million in funding for minor works to be carried out on our national roads over the next three years will improve driving conditions for motorists, accessibility for local communities and will help in further boosting economic activity.

Unemployment now at 10.7% - Corcoran Kennedy

€34,000 in National Lottery funding approved for local organisations in Westmeath and Longford – McFadden

Fine Gael Longford Westmeath TD, Gabrielle McFadden, has congratulated the six organisations across Longford and Westmeath which have been approved for National Lottery funding by the Minister for Health, Leo Varadkar, under the 2014 funding programme. The total allocation for the two counties comes to €34,000.
