Planning application for new IDA office space a boost to Waterford – Coffey

Fine Gael Waterford Deputy, Paudie Coffey, has welcomed news that the IDA has submitted a planning application with Waterford County Council for the development of new offices that will total 25,000 square feet. This new development will be situated in the IDA Business and Technology Park in Butlerstown, Co Waterford.

2,000 extra CE places will help jobseekers – Doherty

Fine Gael Meath East TD, Regina Doherty, has today (Friday) said that an additional 2,000 Community Employment places are being made available to help those out of work to get a job. Deputy Doherty added that the Government will spend €1 billion this year on retraining and up skilling programmes aimed at getting people back to work.

HMV staff should be paid before creditors – Byrne

Fine Gael Dublin South Central TD, Catherine Byrne, has today (Thursday) said that HMV staff should be paid before the company’s creditors. Deputy Byrne was speaking after it emerged that staff at the troubled music retailer have not been paid for hours worked over Christmas.
