Keating congratulates Kelly on GAA All Star award
7th November 2013 - Deborah Sweeney
Fine Gael Dublin Mid West Deputy, Derek Keating, has this morning (Thursday) congratulated Dublin and Lucan Sarsfield player, Peter Kelly, on his receipt of a GAA All Star award last night.
“Dublin, and Lucan Sarsfield, hurling has been emerging in recent years and among the rising stars are Peter Kelly, so it is only fitting that he should be honoured with this prestigious award.
“Dublin has had a brilliant season and this has added a new impetus to the sport at an even more local level. This Sunday, Sarsfield will compete in its first ever senior Dublin hurling final, playing Ballyboden/St. Enda’s at Parnell Park 3pm.
“Peter is an exceptionally popular person both on and off the field and his dedication to his sport sets a brilliant example for the younger population in Lucan and beyond. It is only fitting that a man of his ability and skill has been honoured in this way. I am delighted for Peter and his family and wish him, his fellow Lucan teammate and captain, Johnny McCaffery, and all of Lucan Sarsfield the very best of luck this coming weekend.”
