Jobs Announcement for Celbridge Welcomed

Fine Gael TD for Kildare North, Anthony Lawlor TD, warmly welcomes the announcement today that Supervalu is set to open a new store in Celbridge within the next 12 months creating a number of jobs.

“I was delighted to learn that Supervalu is set to open two new stores, one in Celbridge and another in Milltown Malbay in Co, Clare in the next 12 months creating 200 jobs. This is part of a €20 million investment programme by the company in their nationwide store network that will see shop extensions and a total of 400 jobs created. This is on the back of two billion in retail sales during 2011 and achieving a market share of almost 20 per cent.

“I am thrilled that the people of Celbridge will benefit from this new store. It is also great to see an Irish owned and based company such as Musgraves thriving in the current economic climate” concluded Anthony Lawlor TD.
