Dear Deputy Durkan

The Health Service Executive has been requested to reply directly to you in the context of the above Parliamentary Question, which you submitted to the Minister for Health and Children for response.

A number of services are delivered from Health Centres in County Kildare including Community Nursing, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. There are no plans at present to downgrade or close any health centres in County Kildare.

There are plans to build and open new purpose built Primary Care facilities in each of the Primary Care Networks in County Kildare over the next number of years.

I trust this information is of assistance to you.
